Laura Guttridge, a former swimsuit model was born on Feb 11, 1963 and has appeared on numerous swimsuit posters, calendars, and magazines. She participated in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Pageant in 1991, where she represented US and was one of the finalists. She won the Miss Budweiser title in 1998. She was selected from over 20,000 entrants who strived to feature in the More magazine and has featured in the magazine’s swimsuit issue. Presently, Laura Guttridge is co-hosting a popular TV talk show called Empowerment along with Dr. Josephina. This show encourages people to live a healthy, productive, and passionate life. The show is aired locally in Vero Beach and is also on YouTube. Laura has also appeared in television shows.

This former swimsuit model has been an animal activist since her childhood. She has been protecting and saving animals since she was a child, for which she has received many awards. She received the Humanitarian of the Year Award in 2007 from the Vero Beach Humane Society. She was the founder and President of a small animal rights group in Ocala, Florida called The Marion County Voices For Animals, and is currently on the board of directors for The Animal Rights Foundation Of Florida.

She has been working hard and has participated in protests against issues like hunting; preventing cruelty to animals; against using animals in circus and more. She also participated in the promotion of Vegetarian Starter Kit by PETA and also follows a vegetarian lifestyle. She is highly passionate about saving animals and during her protests to protect animals; she has also been arrested twice. Laura Guttridge along with a local animal activist, Kerry Russell, volunteered to dress up as Lettuce Ladies for the 20th anniversary gala of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida.
